5 Tips for Dressing After FTM Surgery

After your top surgery, you’ll want to make sure that you’re as comfortable as possible. As you will be quite sensitive following the surgery, you’ll want to make sure that you’re dressing in a way that is comfortable, causes no pain, and promotes recovery. Once you’ve passed recovery, you may also find that you want to dress differently to adjust to the changes in your body. Here are some tips about dressing after FTM surgery: 1.  Wear Your Binder/Compression Garment Immediately after your surgery, you will be given a binder or compression bandage, along with instructions on how to wear it, and how long to wear it for. A binder helps support the surgical area, prevent fluid buildup, and help swelling and bruising to go down.
